- LeRoy Van Conett scores his 7th NARC drivers championship.
(1969, 70, 75, 77, 78, 80, 81).
- Brent Kaeding won the first ever NARC winged race at Chico's
Silver Dollar Speedway on April 12.
- Anthony Simone won his first NARC feature at Santa Maria on
June 6th.
- Steve Scott took the Don Frost #65 to his first win at
Bakersfield on June 7th.
- Lanny Walker was named Most Improved Driver.
- Jimmy Sills won at NARC's first visit to Baylands Raceway in
the Bailey Bros. #01.
- Chuck Gurney won the Lou Vermeil Classic at Calistoga.
- NARC-CRA Civil War races were won by CRA regulars Bubby Jones
(Ascot) and Brad Noffsinger (Santa Maria).
