California Dreaming
I hope everyone is doing well out there, and your favorite
driver is running good! I'm sure they're hoping the same thing.
Well, I've got blues jammer Coco Montoya rockin' in the
background, oh yeah. Let's push off!
I want to update you on the "Rollover" fund
that I talked about a few "Interrogations" back.
I want to thank you all for your ideas and comments, it's very
much appreciated. Without you this can't be done. Let me begin by
saying "we" as fans can change things. It's all in our
approach. Change will never come by bashing a driver or their hard
working team. Trash talking is just that. Instead of bashing,
let's find a solution. We always say how racing is like a
"family". Well, family helps take care of one another.
Negativity~We see it all the time. Certain parts of the
country like to puff out their chests. Well we have a lot of pride
too of course, but I'd rather let our drivers do the talking with
their right foot. We see the bashing that goes on within some
states, fans bashing their own tracks. That looks terrible.
California has been known not to be boastful, but well respected.
Let's keep it that way.
OK, enough of that. Back to the "Rollover"
fund. We are not going to steal second, with our foot on first
base. I wish there wasn't a need for it, but we all know how
"our" deal is. I have a great hookup, and the guy that
I'm talking about is extremely passionate about our sport. We are
working out the details as we speak! Of course I will keep all of
you great people updated!
On another note, if you're looking to hang out with some
friends before the races and have some fun I can't help but point
you in a couple of directions. There are a couple of racing
"supporters" already out there that you can get involved
with.
One of those fantastic groups is HoservilleCa. They have
been graciously helping out race teams for years now, and have a
blast doing it! They're a devoted group of guys and gals that have
their hearts in the right place. The race fan based group is
spearheaded by Rich Wiseman and Mike Avilla. I know
both these dudes, and I can honestly say that they have an
unquenchable thirst for "our" beloved sport. I encourage
you to contact them, as they have a really cool partner they like
to take to the track. His name is "Bullet The Racing
Pig" Let's fill that sucker up, and make a change for the
better. You can reach Rich at yzman2@comcast.net or Mike
at NARC14Fan@aol.com
Another fan based community can be found at www.TheSkipperPartys.com.
Nice guy Rod runs that deal and he knows racing. He helps
out a lot of the 360 drivers up North. Not only with his fine
contributions to teams, but he is also hands on helping out
various teams in the pits. He is a really neat guy who's heart is
in the right place too. You can contact him at meanthunderbolt@aol.com
and he will steer you in the right direction. He is also a huge
asset to our racing community as are all of you.
Jonathan Allard man this cat is locked and loaded. He is
absolutely on fire! It's a beautiful thing when you see a team in
the zone like they are. They are hittin' hard right now, good job
guys.
In ending, I would like to offer my services free of charge if
you would like some p.r. work done for your team. It's my way of
giving back to a sport that has been so good to me throughout my
36 years. If it weren't for you great people I wouldn't be able to
do what I do. I'm no pro by any means, but the passion is there.
