Pleasant Hill, Ca...July 3... On Saturday, July 10 the 4th
race of the NCMA Select Series will be held at Reno-Fernley's 3/8
mile track in Nevada. The facility has many new
improvements, friendly fans, promoters and officials, and the fast,
smooth track surface has made for some exciting sprint car racing.
$200.00 will be paid to anyone that takes the green to race.
The first of the six race series was held at Bakersfield Speedway
where Tim Sherman of Citrus Heights took the win. A month later,
Oakhurst's Doug Gandy chalked up a win at Chowchilla Speedway for
race number two. The last series race held at Watsonville Speedway
in May was won by Clayton's Darrell Hanestad.
This series is open to all Spec Sprints, following NCMA rules, and
membership is not required. The series winner will be awarded
$1000.00 from a special point fund. The remainder of the races will
be held August 13 at Watsonville's hooked up 1/4 mile track, and the
final one on Saturday, September 11 at Chowchilla Speedway's fast
1/3 mile track.
The series allows Spec Sprints from all of the Northern
California divisions to experience a variety of tracks and have fun
racing for a championship title. For more information, visit www.ncmaracing.com,
